Thithering

Bird song pierces dawn

An urgent invitation

Hither, thither, yon

Speeding through my daily one thousand word essay, I discovered myself typing the word “thithering.” I paused for a moment, shook my head to clear it of the wondering. The word had simply flown out through my fingers — so while I suspected it wasn’t real, I respected its appearance and kept on going.

One thousand words done, blog post complete, it’s time to thither.
